Details
SU 17 SE OGBOURNE ST GEORGE HIGH STREET (south side) 7/97 Amberley II Cottage. C17 or early C18. Colourwashed chalkstone and sarsen, faced on front in brick. Thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays. C19 gabled porch to door between second and third bays forming lobby entry plan. Main living room to left, now dining room, and kitchen in inner room position. Nineteenth century casement windows with cambered heads, and 3 flush dormers raised on exposed wall plate, and further single dormer to rear. Second brick stack to left gable. Roof half-hipped right. Internally, central room has chamfered spine beam but main fireplace blocked.
