ST.HELEN WITHOUT FARIN600N ROAD SU49NE (West side) Shippon 8/139 Church Farmhouse and attached outbuildings - II Farmhouse, now house. C17: early C19 front range. Coursed limestone rubble with roughcast front; gabled roof, with Welsh slates to front and old tiles to rear; brick ridge and end stacks. U-plan. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Early C19 six-panelled (2 glazed) door with trellis porch. Rendered flat arches over 8-pane sashes. C17 wing to rear right: some Cl7 timber framing with brick infill to right but mainly clad in C18 uncoursed limestone rubble; hipped old tile roof: C18 wings to rear left: of uncoursed limestone rubble with gabled old tile roofs: of 2 storeys, and then one-storey forge with 4-light wood-mullioned window. Early C19 one-storey outbuilding (possibly coachhouse) to rear left is of similar materials with C20 doors to rear gable entry. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
