WICKHAM SKEITH WICKHAM STREET TM 06 NE 2/159 Willow House -
GV II Former farmhouse. C16 with C18 addition to north. Unmodernised and largely unaltered since C19. Timber framed and plastered, thatched roof. 3 cells. 2 storeys and attic. Possible underbuilt end jetty to south, facing the road. 3 windows, C18 3-light casements with old square-leaded glass. Lobby entry: small gabled porch of colourwashed brick, C19 4-panel door. Boarded door to extreme left. Internal stack with plain shaft of narrow brick. Attached to right (north) gable end is a 1½-storey pantiled scullery/ dairy addition: one 2-light window with old diamond-leaded glass, plank door. Interior: Timbers largely concealed. Limewashed on-edge joists at service end. Hall and parlour have early C19 fireplace surrounds with cast iron grates. Bakehouse retains old brick floor, range and bread oven. Upper floor not examined.
