Details
SOUTH NEWTON WARMINSTER ROAD SU 03 SE (east side), South Newton 3/41 Manor Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Dated 1799 on datestones to right return. Chequered flint and limestone, hipped tiled roof, brick stacks. Square. Two-storey, 5-windowed; sashes. Central 4-panelled double doors in pilastered porch, two 12-pane sashes either side with cambered heads. First floor has five 6-pane sashes. Moulded brick eaves cornice, brick quoins. Right return has 6-pane sash to first floor, C20 brick extension with hipped roof, datestones below eaves with name I. Flooks, initials S.S. and date 1799. Left return has French windows, C20 casements, 6-pane sashes. Rear has 2-storey service wing with casements. Interior said to have doors with 6 beaded panels in moulded architraves, closed string stairs with stick balusters, ramped handrail and Tuscan newel.
