Farmhouse. C16-C17 in 2 phases, the east end of the house the earlier;
restored c.1975 when extended to north forming T shape plan. Timber framed
and plastered, with colourwashed brick casing to part of the ground floor;
thatched roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3 cell form. 3 windows, mid C20 3-light
casements with large panes; lobby entrance with colourwashed brick porch and
mid C20 glazed door. 2 mid C20 broad eyebrow dormers. To the rear is a good
C17 5-light oriel window with ovolo-moulded mullions. Internal stack of
cruciform plan. Modernised interior but with a good exposed frame and some
original doors and old floorboards; original newel stairs (both flights); 3
arched brick fireplaces. The stack is mainly composed of unfired brick, an
unusual survival.
