8/121 Church Farm Farmhouse

II Farmhouse. Late C16, C18 and early C20. Flint with greensand and limestone, extended in brick laced flint, and further extended in cavity brickwork. Tiled roofs. Original section now forms rear wing, of 2 storeys, 2 bays, parlour and kitchen. Door, formerly to parlour now enters kitchen. Parlour has 2-light stone-mullioned window with trefoiled heads in chamfered stone surround. Chamfered 2-light stone-mullioned windows to kitchen, altered, and to upper floor rooms, one three light. South wing C18, two storeys 2 bays with C20 six-paned sashes and French window to drawing room. Gable stack, and rear wing parallel to earlier build now containing stair and main entrance, a 6-panelled door. This wing appears to incorporate the gable of an earlier outbuilding. Range extended to west by long C20 build covering gable end stack of early building. Interior: In-stair hall, a stair with twisted balusters and bracketed treads.
