House, now farmhouse. C17,refronted C18. Coursed limestone rubble, limestone
ashlar quoins and window dressings to right, brick porch and dressings to left;
C20 tile roof; brick and limestone ashlar stack. 3 storeys; 3-window range.
Porch has curved and moulded stone cornice; gauged brick segmental arch with
dropped keystone over C18 eight-panelled door with overlight. To left and over
porch are gauged brick segmental arches over an early C18 sash on ground floor
and late C18 sashes above, except blind window to centre of second floor. To
right of porch are label moulds over cavetto moulded stone mullioned 3- and
4-light leaded casements on first and second floor and a late C19 three-light
window without the stone mullions on the ground floor. Stone ashlar band beneath
parapet. Gabled roof, steeper pitch to rear wall of 2 storeys; ridge stack of
limestone ashlar with brick dentilled top. Left gable wall has timber lintel
over C18 two-light casement, one leaded. To rear right is cavetto-moulded
stone-mullioned 4-light window, four-panelled door with overlight; above this is
a hood mould aver a similar 3-light window with leaded lights. Interior: C18
six- and 2-panelled doors in moulded architraves; C17 2 panelled doors on first
floor and ribbed door in loft; on first floor is mid-late C17 doorway with
moulded architrave to room on right. C17 three-panelled door to newel stairs; at
top of stairs are one splat and one moulded baluster. Bacon smoking cupboard
reached from newel start between ground and first floors. 4-bay collar-truss
roof with butt purlins. Various C20 extensions to rear.
