Details

URCHFONT HIGH STREET SU 0457 11/221 Manor Farmhouse 19.3.62 GV II Farmhouse. C16-C17, C18 and early C19. Flemish brick on greensand plinth. Tiled roof, pantiled to rear. Two storeys, 5 bays. Front range with central through stair hall to narrower parallel rear range. Central glazed door in ovolo moulded and painted stone frame, the lintel replaced, and C20 porch. C19 or early C20 casement windows, those to ground floor with segmental arches, gauged brick lintels to upper floor. Moulded brick dentilled eaves. Right gable rebuilt with addition of 2-storey rear wing. Gable stacks. Lead hopper refixed on front, dated 1785. Interior: Right end contains a 2-storey C17 structure. Drawing room right of entrance has moulded cross beams.
