House. c.1600 with alterations of c.1950. 1 storey and attics. Timber- framed and plastered, much of the studwork exposed. Concrete tiled roof with gabled casement dormers. Central chimney of red brick. 2-light C20 casements with leaded lights. 2-storey C20 entrance porch with boarded and battened door. The plan form is unusual. 2 equal cells at ground floor on each side of a narrow central chimney bay; at lst floor is a single long room at either end. Unchamfered lodged 1st floor joists throughout, perhaps reused from an earlier house. Wind-braced clasped-purlin roof. Included despite C20 alterations because of complete timber-framed structure and unusual form.
