Vicarage and attached garden wall. c1830; extended late C19. Ashlar- magnesian limestone, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with attached screen walls, that on left later incorporated into a 2-storey, 1-bay wing; attached wall enclosing rectangular front garden. Main house has rectangular stone steps to central panelled door with 3-pane overlight, flat arch and peaked canopy on shaped wooden brackets. Flanking bays have unequally-hung 4-pane sashes in reveals with projecting stone sills and flat arches. lst floor: central sash with glazing bars flanked by 16-pane sashes in openings as ground floor. Paired wooden gutter brackets; cement-rendered end stack on left, stone end stack on right. Screen wall on right has blind window with carved shield of Christchurch College, Oxford (patron); to its right a doorway with boarded door. Wing on left has 4-pane sash (in position of screen-wall blind opening) and small sash on left; sash with glazing bars to 1st floor; hipped left end to lower roof. Front garden wall: sweeps down from screen walls to return and line pavement to High Street; domed copings sweep up to square gate piers opposite front door. Rear of main house: 6- panel door to left of centre under flat arch; 4-pane sash on left, otherwise 16-pane sashes with flat arches; round-headed sash with glazing bars above door. Interior:contemporary wooden staircase with square baluster rods and ramped handrail.
