GV II

Inn, C18 possibly C17 in origin, rubble stone with stone tiled roof and ridge stack. 2 storeys, L-plan with additions. Earliest section at north west, 2 window range with upper 4-pane windows, 2 ground floor thick glazing bar 12-pane sashes and plank door in early C18 ashlar porch, Tudor-arched doorway with raised impost bands and shallow gable. To left 2-window range with 2 upper 12- pane windows and cellar door below. Beyond, a converted outhouse with 4 first floor C20 windows and C20 door. East end stack. Behind original range, rear wing, apparently early C19, 3 first floor unmoulded 2-light windows ground floor 9-pane window, former door with hood on brackets and inserted window and 9-pane window. South end stack apparently originally internal with scratched date 1643. In rear angle a 2-storey range parallel to front with upper 2-light and lower 3-light window to south side. Original range has fireplace with stone jambs and renewed lintel.
