Details

WESTCROFT ROAD 1. 4430 (North-West Side) CARSHALTON Piers, Wall and Railings to the original Parkfields TQ 2864 NW 21/204 II GV 2. Late C18. Entrance to ParkfieLds flanked to left hand by stock brick pier with fluted frieze and stone capping; a short stretch of brick wall connects pier to Parkfield Lodge; embedded in the wall of Parkfield Lodge another similar pier with fluted frieze and stone capping. To right of entrance to Parkfields another short stretch of wall and another similar brick pier; to right hand again, low dwarf wall and railings. Railings have uprights with spiked finials and, at intervals, standards with urn finials; they extend eastwards as far as the entrance to No 35 [Springbank], the latter comprising a C19 addition to the demolished C18 house.

Parkfields, piers, walls and railings to Parkfields, Westcroft Cottage and Westcroft Farm Cottage form a group with Bramblehaw End, Bramblehaw Cottage and outbuilding over drive to Bramblehaw Cottage.
