Details
TYNEMOUTH ALLENDALE PLACE (west side) NZ 3669 SE 9/38 Tynemouth No. 3 G.V. II House, now bank and dwelling. Circa 1840. English bond brick with painted rusticated ground floor and painted incised rendered basement and side steps. Welsh slate roof. Basement and 3 storeys; 4 bays. Hardboard-covered door recessed in architrave in second bay. Painted stone wedge lintels and projecting stone sills to sash windows with glazing bars on ground and first floors,and one in second bay of second floor. Some blind bays. Sunken panels beneath ground-floor sills. Brick pilasters support painted eaves gutter band and cornice. Low-pitched roof. ALLENDALE PLACE incised stone panel at right; DAWSON SQUARE on left return and HUNTINGTON PLACE on right return.
