GV II

House with attached stables to rear. Late C17, late C18, early C19 additions and alterations. Flemish bond brick, hipped tiled roof, brick stacks. L-plan, entrance at right angles to road. 2-storey, 3-window front. Two canted bays with diamond leaded casements and hipped roofs, first floor has 9-pane sashes with tripartite 9-pane sash to either side, coved plaster eaves cornice, two hipped dormers to steeply pitched roof. Left return has 12-pane sashes. Right return is entrance front; 4-panelled door in chamfered case 'with flat wooden hood on carved brackets, to right is 12-pane sash and 4-panelled door to c1800 build, mid-C19 services to right have 'planked door with flat wooden hood on brackets and two 12-pane -sashes. Attached stable to rear of 1812 has round-arched entry to :through passage with keystone and imposts, double doors with flat arch to right, loft has 2-light casement to dentilled gable, half- hipped roof. Interior not accessible at time of survey (January 1985), but said to have newel stairs with stick balusters of c1800, early C19 fittings, early C17 roof.
