MARKET PLACE SOUTH Nos 2-4 and area railings (Formerly listed as County Fire Service and area railings to County Fire Service, previously listed as County Rooms, Hotel Street) 5.1.50 GV II Early C19. Stucco. Boldly rusticated quoins, bands and rusticated ground floor. Parapet. Heavy moulded eaves cornice. Three storeys. Three windows, moulded stone rectangular architraves, second floor have pediments and a round-headed arch with keystone over centre. All sashes with glazing bars, ground floor glazing bars missing. Left-hand six-fielded-panel door with rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. Large stuccoed end stack with cornice. Including heavy cast iron area railings.

Nos 2-4 and area railings form a group with the City Rooms and Extension, Hotel Street.
