Details

MILL LANE 1. 5304 Bridge over River Soar SK 5803 9/289 II 2. Dated 1890. Braced arched iron bridge type. With two wide and low segmental iron arches with roadway between. Ornate cast-iron railed parapet. Brick abutments with square brick piers surmounted by stone octagonal turrets with moulded caps and panelled sides. One of a series. see:- Bridge over River Soar - The Newarke. Bridge over River Soar - Mill Lane, Bridge over River Soar - Upperton Road. West Bridge - West Bridge Street.
