PONTEFRACT CORN MARKET SE 4521 NW (south-west side) 7/19 Nos 11, 13 and 15 3.3.75 (formerly listed as 'Premises occupied by Clarks of Retford and Bradford and Bingley Building Society') II
Two houses, now shops and offices. C17 or earlier, refronted in mid C18 and with numerous later alterations and additions. Rendered brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Two storeys, formerly with loft, 6 bays, divided into 2 bays to No 11 and 4 bays to No 15, No 13 to rear of No 11. Passageway through building to bay 3. C20 shop fronts of no special interest to ground floor. First floor has 6 tall, narrow plate-glass sashes. Plain band at eaves level. Plain parapet with moulded coping. Steeply pitched roof set back behind parapet with stone coping to left gable and brick end stack to right. Rear elevation has segmental arch with raised keystone to passageway, bowed end to No 13 which has been much altered in C19 and C20, and semi-circular headed window to rear of No 15. Interiors not inspected.
