1/16 Cottage and outbuilding 25 m to north of Erringden Grange Farmhouse and - attached cart shed

Cottages and probably former textile factory. Early C19. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 3 storeys. 2 doorways with monolithic jambs to original stable; arrow slit ventilators to either side. Over is 1st floor taking-in door with tie-stones and outside platform approached up a flight of stone steps. 3-light flat faced mullioned window with 2 the same to 2nd floor. Taken out of right hand half of building is cottage with doorway protected by gabled porch with side-entrance with tie-stone. To left is flat faced mullioned window of 2 broad lights, formerly sashed. Directly over doorway is 1st floor taking-in door with tie-stones (blocked). Lateral stack. One other stack to ridge. Right hand return wall is quoined and has 3-light flat faced mullioned window to 1st floor. Rear has 3 flat faced mullioned windows of 3 lights to each floor. Attached to left hand end is linking single storey range to barn forming courtyard between. This wall has 2 semi-circular arched cart entries carried on a double skewback on a monolithic pillar. Large copings and mono-pitched roof. To either side of cart entries are doorways with monolithic jambs.
