Former brewhouse. C17. Brick with stone dressings, slate
roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Weathered stone base, band over
ground floor; quoins, coped gables with kneelers. Window
and entrances have gauge-brick flat arches with stone keys.
1st and 2nd bays have entrances, 1st and 3rd bays of 1st
floor have louvred windows. Left return has stone stair to
1st floor entrance with cat-head above. 1st floor window
has flat arch and dripmould, 2-light blocked casement above.
Square clock turret with louvred sides (being repaired,
1985). Right return has gable-end stack. Rear has later
wing of no special interest. Interior has large fireplace.
