GV II

Lock keeper's cottage and attached stable; also formerly stable keeper's cottage. Late C18/early C19, with late C19 addition. Whitewashed brick with dentil cornice. C20 tile roof; whitewashed brick end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Rendered brick basement projection on right has brick segmental arched entrance to cellar and further projection with plank door and string course. Parapet. Flight of steps and raised area above. Half-glazed flush 4-panelled door. C20 window to left; door and window have painted rendered lintels. Small window to right. Addition on left has slate lean-to roof. 2-light casements of varying sizes and types, all with glazing bars. Stable attached at lower level on right has old tile roof. 3 bays. Open bay on left has wood lintel. 2 stable doors, on left partly replaced with grille. Interior not inspected.
