Shop and club. c.1904. By Grayson and Ould. Timber frame on stone base, stone slate roofs. 2 storeys, U-plan with screen between wings. Wings have jettied gabled 1st floors with quatrefoil panels. Ground floor has large 4-light canted bay windows, segmental heads to lights, 1st floor has 5-light leaded casements. Returns are gabled, inner returns have Tudor-head entrances with doors with vertical strips and strap hinges. Screen wall has stone slate roof, central entrance with coving over with lettering: "VILLAGE CLUB", flanking canopies to entrances. Courtyard has central flat roofed projections, possibly later, 5-light flat-topped dormer behind. Several stacks.
