House. Late C18. For Rev. Christopher Atkinson. Ashlar magnesian limestone, Welsh and green slate roof. 2 storeys with half-basement, 2:3:2 bays; symmetrical facade with central projection. Central stone porch with 6-panel door in plain, corniced architrave under pediment. Ground floor has projecting stone sills and cornices to C20 casements with glazing bars, the windows flanking the porch are narrower. 1st floor: sill band links windows as ground floor with additional window over porch. Central 3-bay pediment; hipped roof with rendered stack set to rear of ridge on left and similar stack to eaves on right. Rear: central 2-storey-and-basement canted projection; C20 casements as front. Interior: not inspected. Built on land purchased by Rev. Atkinson in 1773 (Speight, p414). Adjoining wing (known as No 191, High Street) not of special interest. H. Speight, Lower Wharfedale, 1902.
