Formerly Inn now public house; C17 to early C19. Painted brick, largely English garden wall bond, part Flemish bond: tiled roofs. T-plan with extension, top along High Street; 2-storey. High Street facade has 3-window section, Flemish bond, with projecting chimney on left return: high rendered plinth. Sash windows with 5 stepped stone- voussoirs, projecting keystone. Former doorway with semi-circular head on right. Gable on right return timber- framed, brick nogged. To right and lower, 2 storey wing, 1 window on first floor as left wing. On left sash window with fully- exposed boxes beneath flat brick arch; on right a planked door in recess, up steps from pavement, timber lintel over. A sundial on right-hand corner. To North Road a gable on High Street range; return block of same height set well back, with main entrance on Left, a planked door in recess with timber lintel. To its right a mounting block, and 3-light timber casement window, with a 4-light one above. Beyond a range of former farm buildings projects, with a splayed infill to corner. Internally exposed chamfered beams in bar on right: butterfly hinges to cupboard door over cellar stairs. A little early C17 panelling in bar on left of entrance. On first floor 2 planked doors, alternate boards thinner and narrower, moulded edge to wider, early C18 strap hinges with bulbous ends.
