10/92 Wooley monument, in churchyard, about 21.5m south of east end of nave, Church of St. Ethelbert
GV II
Headstone; Mary Wooley, 1746; stone. About 200mm thick, with chamfered edge to back. Shaped top, carved head in centre with scroll each side; below oval panel for lettering surrounded by deeply-cut rococo moulding. Mixed upper and lower case lettering in inscription. one of best rococo headstones in churchyard: forms part of close group with child headstone and Wood monument, (q.v.).
