GV II
Former stable and cider house, now store; early C19; roughly squared rubble, roughly coursed, larger, squared quoins, brick eaves course, tiled roof. 5 bays, 2 storeys. Gable to road formerly shuttered window ground floor, now part boarded, brick-on- end cambered arch over: below outlet to drain to stable floor. Slit air vent first floor, with above a ledge and 7, small square openings for dovecote. Flight of stone steps to door on right return. Left face, on right C20 boarded door in 2 halves: stone voussoirs to cambered arch above. On left 2-light timber window, brick-on-end cambered arch. Central lean-to with corrugated iron roof may be original: now contains oil tank. Beyond on left stone steps up to loft: original boarded door, set one step up from quarter landing: no lintel. On right 2-light timber casement window with flat brick-on-edge arch over: slit air vent to right. Bases for finials left at apex of each gable. Internally cider house on left at back, still containing press. Crane on wall to right of door in stable, use unclear. Upper floor, king post trusses; plastered partition inserted across loft, at same time as steps on right of gable built. Bearers for dovecote box remain. Lean-to extension along part of back of building. Forms group with house, (q.v.).
