11/276 Carpenter monument, in churchyard, about 1.5m south of south-east corner of vestry, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul
GV II
Chest tomb; first half or mid C18; stone. Flat lid, hollow chamfer to widely projecting edge. Corners quarter-square gadrooned bulbous balusters. Sides, main section with linked scrolls to top and sides flanked by narrow, carved panels. West end has slight margin to recessed panel, east end eroded. Main inscription now largely illegible, end to daughter of Henry and Joan Carpenter, died 1739.
