Details
RAMSGATE ADDINGTON STREET TR 3764 NE (west side) 12/29 12.1.76 No. 41 GV II House and shop. 1801-21. Weather boarded with slate roof and extended with painted brick and pantile. Two separate builds: front block (to Addington Street) 2 storeys and parapet to hipped roof with central stack. Rounded corner to right. Canted bay on 1st floor with glazing bar sashes. Projecting mid C19 plate glass bay on ground floor with projecting cornice. Corner door to right, panelled and half-glazed with rectangular fanlight in moulded surround with cornice. Right return with glazing bar sash on first floor, and 3 light arched window to left and 6 panelled door to right. Rear block of 2 storeys with 2 cambered headed glazing bar sashes and 1 wooden casement on first floor, round headed margin light sash and canted bay on ground floor, with blocked doorway to right, and boarded door to passageway to left. Both blocks are marked on Collard and Hurst's 1821 map of Ramsgate.
