War Memorial
GV II

War memorial. c1918 by Sir Reginald Blomfield. One of a standard design by the
War Graves Commission. Portland stone ashlar. Octagonal. Two shallow steps up to
a two tier plinth, surmounted by the base with attached metal plaques inscribed
with the names of the men of Bolsover killed in the two World Wars. Surmounted
by the cross with polygonal shaft and cross-piece. Bronze sword on the north
face. Included for group value only. Sources: 'Sir Reginald Blomfield' by Richard
