Hall. 1880, by Launceston architect Charles Pearse Wise (1829-1901). Inscription on porch and plaque inscribed "MU2 OOF 4873 ROYAL UNITY LODGE LAUNCESTON". Brick with stucco quoins, strings, cornices hoodmoulds and other details; dry slate roof with pediment at the front end. Rectangular plan. Eclectic style. Two storeys; symmetrical two-window entrance front. Four steps up to ordered central round-arched doorway with nook shafts and corbelled gabled hood. Original doors and windows: panelled doors; round-arched two-pane hornless sashes flanking doorway; quatrefoils above, all with hoods with pendants. Panelled pediment with brackets under lower cornice, pseudo machicolations to upper cornice and fluted round-arched kneelers.
INTERIOR not inspected but likely to be of interest.
