Terrace of 4 houses. Late C18. Brick with limestone dressings, brick stacks and pantile roof. Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style. Left-hand pair 4 storeys, right-hand 3 storeys and basement; each of 2-window range. Linked by a continuous cyma-moulded parapet coping, ramped up over No.45. Right-hand doors have segmental brick arches; flat-headed doors to all but No.45, cornice to No.49, 4-pane overlight to No.45, 3 panes to No.43, with 6-panel doors. No.49 has a wide, 2-storey shallow canted bay, No.47 a canted ground-floor bay, Nos 45 & 43 have canted first-floor oriels. Segmental arches to windows with reveals, 6/6-pane sashes, 3/3 panes to third floor; No.49 has a tripartite second-floor early C19 sash. INTERIOR: largely remodelled c1970, and made into one house from Nos 43-51. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front area railings.
