Public House. c1850. Stuccoed brick with slate roof. 3 storeys; 3-window range with canted corner, and 3-window range to left. Channelled rustication to ground floor with cornice over and top cornice and balustrade; quoin strips to 1st and 2nd floors. Large C20 windows to ground floor; 1st floor has round-headed windows with moulded architraves and cornices with scrolled cresting over; 2nd floor has windows in eared and shouldered architraves; 4-pane horned sashes; C20 hood to entrance. Similar treatment to canted corner and 3-window range to left return, which has panel and flanking scrolls to balustrade. 3-window range to right has similar ground floor windows and rendered elevation treatment; 1st and 2nd floor sill courses; architraved windows, those to 1st floor have friezes and consoled cornices. 2-storey, 5-bay, range to left end of left return has ground floor treatment similar to rest; architraved 1st floor windows with C20 casements. Lantern on iron overthrow to corner. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value.
