GV II

Stable and carriage house, now office. c1850. By Charles Dyer. Render with limestone dressings, lateral stack and a slate hipped roof. Single-depth plan. Italianate style. Single storey; 1-window range. Left-hand block has a left-hand semicircular-arched doorway with an ashlar surround with a pitched canopy, and a window to right with a flat surround. Right-hand parapeted projecting carriage house has a segmental-arched entrance and 2-leaf doors, and C20 glazing. Behind it is a 2-storey square tower and hay loft, with a single first-floor window, stack and a pyramidal roof; overhanging eaves with brackets. INTERIOR not inspected, but reported as having been completely modernised c1980. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached rubble front perimeter walls, ashlar piers and cast-iron railings and gates with Greek decoration.
