Pair of houses in row. Mid C18 refronting of late C15 or C16 house. Heavy timber-framed construction refronted in the C18 in brickwork, steep-pitched tile roof, brick stack. Parallel-plan 2 storeys and attics, wide-spaced 1+1-windowed. All windows are C20 replacements, at ground floor set to brick voussoirs left, and to segmental relieving arch, right, formerly to wider opening than present window; blocked opening to former window above door to No.13. Centred are doors, to No.12 C19 plank and to No.13 a wider C19 plank under segmental voussoir relieving arch. Brick stack, right gable end. Straight joint in brickwork to left, and roof slightly above No.14 (qv). The back is in heavy tension-braced close-studded timbering, with two 2-light gabled dormers, and at eaves level, right, an early 4-light horizontal casement. INTERIOR not inspected.
