House. Early C20. By Stanley J Wearing of Norwich for Bathurst
Estate (cf Nos 82-86 Gloucester Street). Coursed squared
limestone rubble; stone slate roof; stone left-end stack with
moulded top on front slope of Barton Lane elevation; similar
right-end stack on coped verge on Gloucester Street elevation.
House is on corner site with one gable to Barton Lane and one
gable to Gloucester Street. Entrance front to Barton Lane is
2-storey and attic; 2-window range. First floor has one
2-light chamfered stone-mullion window with leaded lights to
left; one similar single-light window to centre. Ground floor
has two similar 2-light windows with leaded lights and
hoodmoulds. Plank door with glazed upper panel with leaded
lights in chamfered stone surround with hoodmould to centre.
Blind oval window in gable in flat keyed surround. Flush
quoins to left and right angles; right angle rounded off at
ground floor. Elevation to Gloucester Street is 2-storeys and
attic; one-window range. First floor has 3-light chamfered
stone-mullion window with leaded lights and hoodmould; similar
2-light window in gable and similar 3-light window to ground
floor. Flush quoins to right angle. INTERIOR not inspected.
Included for group value.
