GV II

2 houses. Early C18 with later C18 alterations. Stucco to
front; concrete tile roof; shared stack in reconstituted stone
to rear. 2 storeys, attic and cellar; 3-window range. First
floor has three 2-light C18/early C19 iron windows with leaded
lights - casements to centre and right (Nos 72 and 74), fixed
window to left (No.74) - in moulded architraves with splayed
reveals and sloping timber cills. Ground floor has 2 similar
2-light casements. Doors in similar architraves are C20
half-glazed with single-pane overlight to right (No.72);
six-panel with upper 2 panels glazed and 2-pane overlight to
left (No.74). 2 hipped dormers with 2-light leaded casements.
2 openings to cellar have cast-iron 5 x 3-pane glazed panels
with louvres in top 5 panes. Plinth with moulded top; coved
eaves cornice. Gabled wings to rear each have 2-light leaded
window in gable; rear wing of No.74 has two 6/6-pane sashes in
flat unmoulded surrounds to first floor and one similar window
in plain reveal to ground floor; rear wing of No.72 has
6/6-pane sash in plain reveal with segmental-headed arched
lintel. INTERIORS not inspected.
