2 houses, now house and Doctors' surgery. Late C18/early C19.
Limestone ashlar, stucco to sides and coursed squared
limestone to rear; Stone slate double-pile hipped parapeted
roof; 2 ashlar stacks on gablets to left (No.43) each with
upper part rebuilt in concrete blockwork, rendered ridge
stack, 2 ashlar right-end stacks (No.45). Pair of town houses
with 2-storey addition containing front door and staircase to
right (No.45). 3 storeys, attic and cellars; 7-window range.
First floor has six 6/6-pane sashes in plain reveals with
stone cills, one similar window to staircage to right. 6
similar 3/3-pane sashes to second floor. 5 similar 6/6-pane
sashes to ground floor. One gabled dormer, glazing not visible
from street. Two 6-panel doors in round-headed openings, to
left with fanlight (No.43), to right in addition for
staircase. 3 openings to cellar, one largely blocked (No.45).
Shallow plinth; band courses over ground and first floors;
moulded stone cornice and coped parapet. Staircage to right
has band course over ground floor, moulded stone cornice and
coped parapet. Lead down-pipe with moulded lead hopper-head to
centre. INTERIORS not inspected.
