Entrance gates, doors, piers and attached quadrants of wall.
1827. By William Jay for Joseph Mullings. Piers and walls in
limestone ashlar and coursed squared limestone; gates and
panels over doors in wrought and cast-iron. Pair of gates
approximately 3m high with waterlily tops to bars and dog
bars, horizontal cast-iron decorative panel to centre;
flanking ashlar gate piers with recessed corners and deep
plinth have anthemion and palmette frieze, enriched moulded
cornice, stepped cap with ball finial. Flanking sections of
straight wall each have door divided into 4 vertical panels by
applied moulding in plain reveal, deep plinth, moulded cornice
and parapet with cast-iron panel over door. Flanking quadrants
of wall in coursed squared limestone with ashlar coping.
