Suburban villa. Early C19. Incised stucco on rubble with plinth, incised pilasters; mid-floor guilloche frieze and moulded eaves cornice; hipped asbestos slate roof; brick stack over rear wall of front range on left, another over rear gable. Double-depth plan including rear wing and lean-to. 2 storeys over basement; symmetrical 3-window garden front. Original hornless sashes with glazing bars also to side elevations; central ground-floor niche. Entrances to rear wings including large box porch with moulded cornice and later glazing. INTERIOR: virtually complete. Original features include open-well staircase with turned newels, ramped handrail and stick balusters; moulded and carved ceiling bands and panelled shutters to front reception rooms; niche to rear of right-hand room; moulded wooden chimneypieces to front and rear left-hand chambers (boarded over in other chamber); panelled doors and moulded architraves. Marble chimneypiece with turned columns and corner blocks with roundels, probably slightly later.
