GV II
Pair of town houses. Late 1840s. Brick with buff headers; slate roof with brick end stacks. Georgian style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Plaster quoins to left end and top modillioned brick cornice. Paired entrances have panelled pilasters and entablature continued over flanking bay windows; entrances have overlights, that to left with margin lights, to 6-flush-panel doors; canted bay windows have plaster plinths and 4:16:4-pane fixed glazing. 1st floor has segmental-headed windows with narrow sills and blind central window with 16-pane sash in moulded frame to left, C20 casement to right. Stacks have stop-chamfered angles. Similar in style to 1830s houses on College Lane (qv). (Bearman R: Stratford-upon-Avon: A History of its Streets and Buildings: Nelson: 1988-: 66).
