GV II

Three houses. 1840-1. Brick with buff headers and stucco dressings; slate roof with brick end stacks and cross-axial stack. Georgian style. 2 storeys; 5-window range, forming 2 symmetrical fronts. Plain eaves. Nos 6 & 7: pair of entrances have moulded doorcase with panelled pilasters and overlights, that to No.7 with margin lights, to C20 doors; frieze and cornice continued over flanking canted bay windows with 4:16:4-pane sashes; 1st floor has window to left with sill, and rusticated wedge lintel over 16-pane sash, 2 windows to right are C20 replacements, with small-paned casements. No.8 has central entrance with moulded doorcase with paterae and cornice, overlight with margin lights to 6-flush-panel door. Windows have sills, and rusticated wedge lintels with keys over 16-pane sashes. Part of the early C19 development of the south part of Stratford.
