Pair of town houses, now hotel. 1836-40. Stuccoed brick; part-hipped slate roof with brick internal stacks. Double-depth plan. Georgian style. 3 storeys; 3-window range. 1st floor sill band and plain eaves. Entrance to left end has porch with cornice and overlight to 6-fielded-panel door; entrance to right of centre has blind overlight to 6-panel door. Ground floor has bay window with cornice and paired plate glass horned sashes; window to right end has sill and 6/9-pane sash. 1st floor has windows with 12-pane sashes; 2nd-floor windows have sills. Entrance and 2-storey gabled wing to right; entrance has porch with decorative overlight to 3-fielded-panel door. Stuccoed garden wall and piers with stone coping and cast-iron railings with decorative panels. (Bearman R: Stratford-upon-Avon: A History of its Streets and Buildings: Nelson: 1988-: 49).
