Gates, gate piers, wall and First World War memorial. Late C19 gates, gate piers and wall, war memorial of c.1919. Ashlar with wrought iron gates.
War memorial: Gothic style; canopied crucifix with crocketed finials on a panelled pedestal and low wrought iron railings in front.
Gates, gate piers and wall: Central paired gates flanked by two smaller gates, all contained within two pairs of gabled piers, the inner ones with octagonal caps; a coped wall extends around the east side of the churchyard. The gates occupy a prominent position on the west side of St. Michael's Square emphasizing the approach to the church.
