Cottage. Late C18/early C19. Whitewashed brick with sour cob and pantile roof with brick. Left end stack. Single-cell plan approx 2m x 3m. Single storey and attic. Plank door to left with 2-light horizontal sliding sash above, otherwise blank front wall. On right end a similar window on both floors. A similar ground floor window to rear. Interior not inspected but noted as having single room on ground floor with open fireplace, moulded wood surround covering brick arch, cast-iron range, cupboards to sides. Ladder stair to 1st floor where 2 rooms, plank door and small piece of balustrade. This cottage is an extremely rare survival and of particular interest becaust it retains the ladder stairs. It forms a group with the Cottage and Kemp's Cottage (q.v.) and stands in the garden of the former.
