8/123 Turret, loggia, steps - and parapet to terrace immediately S.S.E. of Ilam Hall.
G.V. II
Turret, loggia, steps and parapet. c1830. Probably built by James Trubshawe. Ashlar. Roughly square plan with D-shaped projection to N.E. corner which meets the steps and a turret in the S.E. corner. Stair turret to left with lancet window and crenellated parapet; central 7 bay four-centred arch loggia with corbelled, moulded cornice to openwork parapet, the latter sweeping round the top of the right hand projection; flight of steps to right leading to an opening in the parapet flanked by square section piers with moulded caps. Parapet to rear of terrace has iron trellis work.
