House now partly surgery. C15 hall house with C17 additions. Timber framed on
stone plinth, ironstone rubble and brick infill to left hand return front,
underbuilt in whitewashed brick to front tile hanging above to left and in gables
to right. Plain tiled roof with large inserted ridge stack to left of centre.
L shaped plan with 3 bay crosswing to left, gable front facing the street,
adjoining 2 bay hall to north with 3 C17 jettied gables to right. 2 storeys,
jettied on first floor left with moulded dragon post to angle, brick plat band
over ground floor right. 1 leaded casement window in left gable, three 3-light
leaded casements to right, one under each gable; 2 glazing bar casements to
ground floor left, one 4-light leaded casement under cambered head to right of
centre, plate glass shop front to right end. C20 stable style planked door to
right end, C20 ribbed and studded door to right of centre. Left hand return front
(south) jettied first floor on brackets, rendered infill above to exposed framing.
Interior: considerable framing visible, 2 arched service doorways survive with
screen, brackets and moulded beam. Crown post, braced four ways in roof.
