Entrance Archway and two Lodges, (one each side of entrance) to St Bernard's Hospital

Circa 1839. Monumental arched gateway in brown brick and stone. One storey brown brick lodges at either sides, with pediments to end projections.
The hospital was important for the introduction of humane treatment for mental conditions under Dr John Conolly 1839 onwards.
