BURRILL WITH COWLING MAIN STREET SE 28 NW (south side) Burrill 3/64 Manor House 5.5.52 - II House. Dated 1668. Rubblestone rendered, with ashlar dressings and graduated stone slate roof. L-shape in plan. 2 storeys, 5 bays. East front: projecting gabled wing to left has C20 4-light mullioned window to ground floor, 3-light chamfered mullion window above and blind 2-light mullioned window in gable. Right return of wing has blind chamfered mullioned windows with outshut on ground floor. 4 bays to right. Half- glazed door with broad stone surround. To left of door a sash with stone surround and to right a 2-light chamfered mullion window. First floor: 3 left bays have 16-pane sashes in chamfered stone surrounds with cills; right bay has 2-light chamfered mullion window with gable above, datestone in centre of gable. Shaped kneelers to right gable, stone coping, ridge stack to left-hand wing. 2 eaves stacks to rear.
