Pair of cottages. C17. Coursed ironstone rubble, thatched roof, brick stacks.
Church Cottage to left, 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. 2-light window with wood
lintel and C20 casements in left bay. One-light window with wood lintel to
right. Similar window in right bay, first floor. 2-light window in left bay with
wood lintel and C20 metal casement. Two C20 dormers. C20 extension to left.
Church End Cottage to right, 2 storeys, 2 bays, has 2-light window with wood
lintel arid old iron casement in left bay. Similar 3-light window. in right bay.
2-light window in right bay with wood lintel and old iron casement. 2-light
window in right bay with wood lintel and C20 casement. Entrance in C20 lean-to
extension to right. Interior: Church Cottage has set of chamfered beams and open
fireplace. Said to retain original roof structure. Church End Cottage not
inspected but said to have been remodelled C20 and old fireplace and staircase
removed. Cottages back onto churchyard and have strong group value with the
Church.
