Terrace of nine shops. Late C19, restored c1990. Coursed rusticated ashlar with ashlar dressings and slate roofs. Bracketed eaves, plain sill and impost bands. Three storeys and dormers. Three and four windows each. Gabled dormers, Nos 69 and 71 altered. Round arched first and second floor windows; first floor with splayed bay window. Ground floor shop frontages mostly altered (except No 81). Good original cast iron shopping arcades with reeded columns painted black with decorative details highlighted with gold leaf and glazed roofs. Included for shopping arcades, the last to survive in Harrogate.
