Bank premises, originally The Yorkshire Banking Company. c1900. Bedford and Kitson. Sandstone ashlar. Plain tiled roof. Free C17 style. 2 storeys with large gabled dormers. Main entrance with porch to right. Mullion windows, those on the 1st floor framed by pilasters resting on band with cornices above. Between the 2nd first floor windows a plaque carved with a shield with a cross and a Tudor-rose design. Interior: a beamed ceiling to the ground floor public room decorated with a similar entwined Tudor-rose motif.
